  1. Your photography is beautiful. I’ve never been to Scotland but I’ve always wanted to go. Definitely going to put Kilchurn Castle on the list of places to visit! x

    • Thanks Amanda. Yes if you ever have chance to go, do it. It’s worth the long drive up there.

  2. Gorgeous pics! My cousins used to own the Tower of Glenstra, overlooking the Loch and castle, and I think I can spot it in one of your photos. I had the pleasure of working there when it was a B&B one summer while I was at Uni. It’s stunning, and there were pine martens who would come up to the house and eat from the bird table. I also heard some very spooky stories about a ghost who is supposed to haunt the castle…

    • Really? That sounds awesome, it’s such a beautiful place. The castle was closed when we went but I’m hoping we’ll have chance to visit when we go in April.

  3. These pictures are so gorgeous! That one shot of the ice is especially stunning. You should submit it to a photo competition or something!

I know what you mean about your heart aching for a place. Wanderlust is good but once it starts, it never really stops … and I really do believe that we can leave pieces of our hearts in different places.

Can’t wait to see more pictures from your next trip to Scotland!

    • Thanks Kathryn. I’m a member of a photography club so I’m hoping I can submit these to some competition.

I think you might be right about leaving your heart in different places. I feel that way about Dublin after I went last October, it just felt like home, even though we were only there for five days.

    • It really is, I just can’t get over it. I’m struggling to think of anywhere I’ve been that is more beautiful.

  4. This looks so beautiful and Harry Potteresque (I think I’m just obsessed really!). Man, I wish I could live in a castle, it’d have to be a bit magical though. I love your photography Rosie! xxx

    • Thanks Carly, it does look Potteresque doesn’t it? It’d be so cool to live in a castle, I would of course expect a dragon to come with it though.
